Kevin Jones - Current Vision

Our views of aircraft are often heavily restricted. At airports we are restricted from getting close to and often seeing the aircraft until the last minute when weare permitted to enter the plane quickly through a tube or via a staircase. Jones's paintings enable the viewer to gaze uniterreptedly at these vulnerable, taboo objects in a way which would not often perhaps be possible, while the manner in which they are painted seems to affirm the lack of knowledge or any real understanding we have about them caused by the protection they receive.
